Menu Forward Back | ![]() The `ark of the covenant', the one here shown, was drawn by someone according to man's view. The real `Ark of the Covenant' contains the eternal Law of God as written by His own hand. It was a plain looking chest made of shittim/acacia wood overlaid with gold. The true Ark would show no pagan symbols, such as the sun rays and the winged faces, or any Egyptian art for such things were an abomination unto God. Why? Because God made the sun - all celestial objects are made by Him. To revere any objects or items made by God and worship them in place of God, represents rebellion against God, who draws us to Him by love. Gods made out of wood, stone or metal are just that, wood, stone or metal - they have no power and the Law of God deposited inside the Ark prohibits worshipping things in place of the true God. What looks like letters between the angels are just made by the artist who did not know Hebrew letters and may have been intended to say `holy'. |
