![]() The Battle of Actium took place in 31 B.C. in the Gulf of Corinth on the left side and near where the location of Patras is on our map. When Anthony divorced Octavia, Octavian set himself up as the champion of outraged womanhood, and induced the Roman Senate, to deprive Anthony of his authority and to declare war on Cleopatra. This war was the Battle of Actium which Octavian won through his trusted admiral Agrippa on September 2, 31 B.C. |
