Introduction

Greetings! Below follow a few scriptures from the Quran and what they mean since we found out, by reading Muslim literature, that many Muslims don't seem to know the Quran as well as one might think. They may not be aware of the things explained below.

* Sure 2:66 Followers of Islam are also told in the Quran to keep the Sabbath day holy, for we read, "And certainly be informed of the end of those among you who trespassed the sabbath law. So we spoke to them: Be then monkeys and despised." Sure 2, 66 Al-Bakarah.
Comment: This Islamic text says, that the Sabbath, "jôm es Sabt", is to be kept. Just like the "tewrat" does. Those who do not, are to be called monkeys and the despised, according to this Sure.
* Sure 3:7 God is unknowable in Islam.
Comment: Sadly a Muslim goes through life with no certainty of salvation, who his God really is and what the truth really is.
Compare with what the Bible teaches: Bible believing Christians, as opposed to those who just say they are Christians but are not, can know who God is and the truth He teaches in His word, for we read, "And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. . . ." Exodus 33:11.
"And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it." Isaiah 40:5.
When Paul was in Athens, Greece, he reports, "For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you." Acts 17:23.
* Sure 4:88 Allah inspired sin in mankind.
Comment 1: This teaching is repeated several times in the Quran.
Comment 2: Muslims believe that humans are sinners because Allah has willed it. They have no understanding similar to the Bible's teaching that Satan, not God, caused sin through his rebellion against God, and that - since the Fall of Adam and Eve - man became sinners and now belong to Satan, unless they choose God and His gracious offer of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Compare with what the Bible teaches: The origin of evil began in heaven, but since also included man who was deceived into listening to Satan and do his bidding. That is why we read, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." . . . . "Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." Romans 5:12,18,19.
* Sure 7:6-9 Salvation is based on purification by good deeds. A Muslim can become righteous through prayer, almsgiving, fasting, and living according to the Quran.
Comment: The above teaches that a Muslim must perform works to find salvation. .
Compare with what the Bible teaches: No good works can make a person righteous, only Faith in Jesus can, for it is only through His righteousness that a person can be saved, for it says, "That as sin has reigned to death, even so might grace reign through righteousness to eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:21.
However, once a person is saved, he will want to help spread the good news of salvation to everyone, be continually faithful, abstain from sinning and pray for forgiveness of sins. These are not his (man's) works, but the works of Jesus who shows us in His Word how to live.
See more on the fascinating topic of grace and works. See also why and how God will test His people.
* Sure 7:16-18 It teaches that a Muslim cannot know he is saved and cannot have the joy of salvation while still alive on earth.
* Sure 7:188 God is unknowable to Muslims. They cannot experience him personally.
See also the previous comment on the same topic.
Comment: Bible believing Christians can experience God personally because He wants to be "known" and "dwells" in the heart (mind) of His people by them reading and remembering His Word.
Compare with what the Bible teaches:
That is why we read,
"Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." 2.Corinthians 3:16,17.
And, "And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." 2.Corinthians 6:18.
* Sure 9:51 Allah inspired sin in mankind.
* Sure 14:4 Allah inspired sin in mankind.
* Sure 16:93 Allah inspired sin in mankind.
* Sure 19:67-72 Teaches that everyone, both the righteous and the unrighteous, will be led into hell by Allah, before the righteous will enter into heaven.
Thus Allah's arbitrary choosing who eventually will live and who will be destroyed, that can be known only after death, makes a Muslim's salvation unknowable.
Comment: That means all Muslims will enter into hell and their final destiny is not known until after death!
Compare with what the Bible teaches: Only Satan. the demons, and the unsaved will enter into hell, for it says, "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment." 2.Peter 2:4. And John wrote, "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15.
Believers in Jesus Christ can be saved because He died for them and that those who truly confess their sins, repent of them and open their heart to Jesus gentle, loving spirit, will be saved by the grace of God through personal faith and cooperation with God's plan because of the finished work of God's work on the cross. A Christian joyfully cooperates with God in keeping all of His commandments, the foundation of the kingdom of God, as the coequal condition of eternal life with accepting Christ by faith.
* Sure 31:34 Therefore, no Muslim can know his or her eternal destiny in this life. Even Muhammad himself was unsure of his salvation.
Comment: Bible believing Christians can rest assured in salvation once they follow Jesus with all their heart, mind and soul. While God may test our faith along the way, continual faithfulness results in salvation when Jesus Christ comes again in the clouds of heaven with all His angels to end the reign of sin.
* Sure 35:8 Allah inspired sin in mankind.
* Sure 42:51 Muslim's do not have God dwell in them.
Compare with what the Bible teaches: The Bible teaches that God dwells in the heart of those who believe in Him with all their heart. We read, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20.
* Sure 46:9 Teaches, no Muslim can know his or her eternal destiny in this life. Even Muhammad himself was unsure of his salvation. That is why, when Muslims mention the name of Muhammad, they always add the phrase, "Peace be upon him," because Muhammad's eternal destiny is uncertain, and the Muslim must ask Allah to be merciful to him.
Comment: This above contradiction between the Quran's teaching of salvation by works and its teaching of Allah's determining salvation, regardless of one's works, results in Islam being the world's most uncertain religion regarding salvation.
Compare with what the Bible teaches: The Bible teaches certainty of salvation, saying: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death to life." John 5:24. The great work that is worked out for the sinner who is spotted and stained by evil is the work of justification. By Him who speaks truth he is declared righteous. The Lord imputes to the believer the righteousness of Christ and pronounces him righteous before the universe. He transfers his sins to Jesus, who is the sinner's representative, substitute, and surety. Upon Christ He lays the iniquity of every soul that believes. "He has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" {2 Corinthians 5:21; 1SM 392.2}
* Sure 57:22 Allah has predetermined every person's destiny, and one's righteous acts may or may not affect Allah's decision.
* Sure 74:31 Allah inspired sin in mankind.
* Sure 91:7-9 Allah inspired sin in mankind.
