![]() | A recent discovery of a sherd inscribed in readable cuneiform characters at the site of Baalbek contained the name "Baal Tunip" supporting, if not outright proving, Velikovsky correct in his identification of Baalbek as ancient Tunip mentioned in pharaonic Egyptian documents. Tell Mardikh, the loaction of ancient Ebla, was discovered between 1968 -1975 by the Italian team of Paolo Matthiae who called upon Giovanni Pettinato to identify objects found at the site. Of course, scholars had already decided that the age of the patriarchs was fiction and so they disagreed with Paolo on the reading of the names he found which also included a deity named `Ya', like in `Yahwe'. According to these evolutionistic minded scholars resurrecting the patriarchs must fly into the face of their foregone conclusion that they never existed. That is to show we can safely ignore those `nay-sayers' once more.
