| A Map of Jebel el Lawz |
|
![]() This protected area around the top of Mt. Sinai, Jebel el Lawz, seems to support of numerous visits by pilgrims which must have occurred over a long period of time. |
![]() This simple drawing was found in the vicinity of Jebel el Lawz apparently being the work of past generations of pilgrims who venerated this place for the ancient significance it had which became lost in the memory of the western world. [The extra lines may be an attempt to indicate reflection of light on the calf's glistening gold work. It appears the horns are patterned after Egyptian conventions of drawing horns.] |
