The 17th century Pari Mahal, or palace of the Fairies, is situated above Srinagar, the capital of Kashnir. Mountainous Shrinagar is not on the map but is located north of Amritsar and Jammu/Jambu about where the word `scale' appears inside the Indian controlled part of Kashmir.
