The statues of a unique pair, Rahotep and Nofret, were found in 1871 in a mastaba at Meidum. Some thought these were the children of Sneferu? Meidum is a known 4th dynasty pyramid location.
A short List of 3rd Dynasty Personalities

01. Ankhwa - granite statue, height 65.6 cm, of 3rd dynasty shipbuilder
See KMT, Spring 2001, Vol. 12, p. 22.
02. Large granaries are usually found in locations where they are needed such as dwellings. Archaeologists found a row of granaries along the west half of the northern enclosure wall of Djoser's complex (3d dyn.), still filled ankle-deep with a mix of decayed grain, intact grains and even ears. Interestingly, the seals (from the decayed sacks) mention Djoser but also his predecessor Khasekhemui. Large stone vessels with the name of Khasekhemui were also found underneath the southern Mastaba, which has the shape of a granary. There were very few objects with Khasekhemui's name elsewhere in the complex.
03. A color image of the red granite temple statue of a late 3rd dynasty nobleman and functionary Hetepdief, son of Merydjehuty, can be seen in N.Reeves, Ancient Egypt the Great Discoveries, p. 74. The statue is distinguished by the series of serekh-framed names of the first 3 kings of the 2nd Dynasty - a) Hetepsekhemwy, b) Raneb and c) Ninetjer carved on the right shoulder. These establish the cult Hetepdief worked for and it is assumed, the order of succession of these kings.
04. The monuments of Djoser mention more than once Queen Hotephirnebty and Princess Intkaes but their burial has not yet been located. [KMT, Vol. 15, Summer 2004, p. 49.] According to a more recent theory Djoser may qualify as the pharaoh of the time of Joseph.
05. See the grano-diorite seated statue of the 3rd dynasty priest of Horus under Djoser by the name of Ankh in KMT, Vol. 10, Winter 1999-2000, p. 21. Shown also is (a) a wooden relief of the royal scribe Hesire, p. 22, and (b) a faience wall decoration imitating a woven mat from the 3rd dynasty Step pyramid complex of Djoser.
06. The unprofessional excavation of Taanach by Ernst Sellin and Gottlieb Schumacher ca 1901-04 left at least this recognition discernible that the subterranean "masonry shows unmistakable resemblances to subterranean constructions of the time of the 3rd dynasty pharaoh Zoser/ Djoser.... Since (the) sherds with pattern-combing ... are characteristic of EB II and since all the characteristic pottery from Sellin's lowest level on the mound comes from EB II (or early EB III), we may safely date the entire installation (conventionally) between 2800-2500 BC." The Egyptian parallels become doubly striking since J. Marquet-Krause's excavation at Ai, north of Jerusalem, also demonstrated strong 3rd dynasty influence. (ad. lib.)[W.F. Albright, A Prince of Taanach in the 15th cent. BC in BASOR, Apr 1944, p. 12-27.]
