Man and Dinosaurs Contemporary
England: A man by the name of Bishop Bell, died in 1496, is buried in the foundation of the famous Carlisle Cathedral. The ornate brass engravings around the grave show several animals, some of which appear to be dinosaurs, like a long-neck sauropod and a horned ceratopsian.
Utah: Several petroglyph etchings in natural stone, resemble air or land dragons. A pictograph in San Rafael Swell is of something similar to a Pteranodon or Pterodactyl. One in natural Bridges National Monument looks rather similar to a sauropod.
Peru: Peru is known for dragon like creatures in their pottery and other artifacts. For example, the Museum of the Nation displays a dragon-like dinosaur on a piece of pottery attributed to the Mocha culture (400-1100 A.D.).
Sweden: The Anglo-Saxon epic poem `Beowulf' describes three encounters Beowulf, king of the Geats (Gotherburg, Sweden, today), had with three creatures. The last one, encountered in Sweden, was a fiery flying serpent that lived underground and came out only at certain times. The injuries from this battle led to Beowulf's death.
North Africa: The Roman historian Cassius Dio recounted how a Roman army once killed a dragon. The original fragment from Book 11 of his `Roman History', now lost, was repeated by John of Damascus (676-749 AD), in his book, `On Dragons and Ghosts,' saying, "One day, when Regulus, a Roman consul, was fighting against Carthage, a dragon suddenly crept up and settled behind the wall of the Roman army. The Romans killed it by order of Regulus, skinned it and sent the hide to the Roman senate. When the dragon's hide, as Dio says, was measured by order of the senate, it happened to be, amazingly, one hundred and twenty feet long, and the thickness was fitting to the length."
Egypt: Herodotus, and ancient Greek writer on the history of his era, records, "There is a place in Arabia (modern Egypt), situated very near the city of Buto, to which I went, on hearing of some winged serpents; and when I arrived there, I saw bones and spines of serpents, in such quantities as it would be impossible to describe. The form of the serpent is like that of the water snake; but he has wings without feathers, and is like as possible to the wings of a bat." [Herodotus, Bk. 2, sec. 75, p. 112.]
Babylon: Some say Babylon is the heart of early civilization after the Flood. A famous entrance called the Ishtar Gate was built by King Nebuchadnezzar (605-562). This gate displays a reptilian creature with four legs, standing upright on its hips like a dinosaur.
China: Chinese dragons, well-known throughout the world, even appear on China's 12-year calendar cycle. Eleven of these animals are common today (dog, rat, monkey, etc.), so why assume that the 12th (a dragon) was mythological? Marco Polo, in his The Travels of Marco Polo, describes some of the long and lanky "serpents," which included short legs and claws. He claimed the Chinese would use special methods to kill these dragons. Some of the dragons' body parts were used for medicinal purposes, and others were eaten as a delicacy.
Australia: In the far north of Queensland, aboriginal people from the Kuku Yalanji tribe described and painted a sea and lake monster that looked surprisingly like a plesiosaur.
Names of dinosaurs can be bewildering, their various sizes from tiny to large include:

Acrocanthosaurus, Allosaurus, Ankylosaur, Apatasaurus, Archaeopteryx, Avisaurus, Brontosaurus, Coelophysis, Docodon, Diplodocus, Dryosaurus, Edmontosaurus, Elasmosaurus, Eocursor, Euopiocephalus, Europasaurus, Harpactognathus, Homalocephale, Hypsilophodon, Minmi, Megazostrondon, Melanosaurus, Nothosaurus, Ophthalmosaurus, Parasourolophus, Plateosaurus, Plesiosaur, Pteranodon, Pterosactyl, Raptorex, Rutiodon, Saltasaurus, Seismosaurus, Sinraptor, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus (rex). - But at Glen Rose, Texas, the following remains were found in the same layer assigned by evolutionists to 100 million years ago. They found: (1) Trilobites (1 Calomini Tr.- supposedly evolved 500 mill. yrs ago), (2) Lupididendron (a clubmoss, 250 mill. yrs ago), (3) Acrocanthosaurus (spikes all down the spinal column to near the tip of his tail - high spined lizard 20 ft tall- 40 ft long in a supposedly 100 mill. year old layer), (4) seven cat prints (7 inches diameter, 6 ft at shoulder, assigned to 6 mill. yrs ago), (5) found in the same rock layer 57 human footprints. [Ref. #22, `Man & Dinosaur Contemporaneous', Robert Garbe, Hugh Miller, John Whitmore, George Detwiler, Doug Wilder, Frank Vosier, John Ditmars, D. Davis; Direct Dating of Cretaceous - Jurassic Fossils write CRSEE, Box 292, Columbus, OH 43216, Aug. 1992].
- In the same dig they discovered a 14 inch long human footprint. For comparison, the footsize of Lorenzo Williams of the Dallas Mavericks who also has a 14 inches long foot. See Dallas Morning News, April 7, 1995. That shows man has the capability to have such a large foot.
- Max Palmer (died at age 56), 8ft 2in tall, with a foot size of 15 1/2 inches.
- `Guiness Book of World Records', 1995, p. 7. Robert Wadlow of Alton Ill. (died young), was 8ft 11 in tall, weight 439 lbs., and had a foot size of 37 AA shoe, 18 1/2 inches long.
- See the evidence of a fossil hammer with a wooden handle.
[Iron Hammer in Cretaceous Rock. David Lines, CEM Fact Sheet, Creation Evidence Museum Archives, Glen Rose, Texas.] The lab found it contained 96.6% iron
. We assume this print was made during the days native Indians lived in and roamed the region. 0.74% Sulfur, 2.6% Chlorine; the fossil was found in the same verified layer as the dino footprints.
- See account of `Polonium (218 (half life ca. 3 min), 210, 214) Radiohalos Discovered', Robert W. Gentry, `Creations Tiny Mysteries,' Knoxville, TN., Earth Science Association.
- Could living system have evolved? Dr. Robert Gange, Princeton, NJ., says, "Inside all material is information (inside the atom, even H atoms); you can take all the information of the entire planet earth and it comes out to be 160 bits of information (that is a lot, 1080). The entire solar system of non-living material is 170 bits, the entire universe is 235 bits of information. One protein molecule contains 1500 bits, E.Coli bacterium holds 7 billion bits, one human cell holds 20 billion bits. - Therefore how can a primordial pot of soup, filled with all the bits of earth, generate life? Impossible!!!.
[Experimental Bits of Information, Robert Gange, `Origins and Destiny', Waco, TX., Word Books, 1986, pp. 162-164.]
- So, "why do we need to light a candle to examine the sun?" (Werner v. Braun). Why should we need man's wisdom to proof God?
- See the evidence at the Scopes Trial.
We learned here, that dinosaurus and man lived contemporaneously.
Giants from Before the Flood of Noah
What about these images of giants, are they faked (the dino is a piece of art but not this item)? Not necessarily so. Now I am persuaded that they are not contradicting what we know about the past from written sources. They never seem to be found in a proper burial context, but rather as if they ended up there by some accident. When I enlarged them in Photoshop I could find no evidence of someone doctoring these images. The pixels seemed original. It is understandable for people to react negative. Keep that in mind when evaluating such discoveries. We know that the Bible speaks not against the existence of giants. [Compare them to 6 foot man and a giant man.] It says, the strongest ruled in those days, Gen. 6:4,11-13. Just think of the many large and even giant animals and plants which have been found. It stands to reason that originally, man was also larger than we are today. That is why the Bible says, that in the end God will heal the human race and they shall ". . . grow up . . ." Mal. 4:2. As long as everything is in proportion, there should be no problem for such a race of people having lived before the Flood. The effects of sin therefore are very great on the human race. But Malachi means to say, that after the reign of sin ends, the redeemed will grow up as they were originally meant to be. - How the discovery of human giants is explained away is demonstrated in `Archaeology' magazine, Mar/Apr 2000, p. 61. There they want people to believe that the ancient Greeks confused bones of a mix of human and large animals as giant humans, saying, "A scale model of a mammoth skeleton has been rearranged to demonstrate how the ancient Greeks could have interpreted immense and unfamiliar animal fossils as the remains of giants." - It seems to this writer, today's would be scientists are more confused on mammoths and giants then the Greeks were.
