Chart of history
Below you find the newest analysis of the Kings of Judah, Israel, Syria and Egypt.
The discipline of the Bible History never stands still for there are still unresolved difficulties which call for the attentive reader to try and develop a way to clarify the situation. We are told, that there are still many treasures of spiritual knowledge and perhaps too of secular knowledge waiting to be understood. This chart may be one aspect to such attempts on the matter of how King Baasha's reign ought to be aligned more trouble free.
The newest proposed, Baasha accomodating chronology of Judah, Israel, Syria and Egypt
The colors are supposed to show the various family lines as explained in the text on Thutmose III and on Baasha.
Lavender: The line of the Kings of Judah.
Dark Red: The line of the kings of Israel.
Light Red: Unrelated to previous Israelite kings.
Light Gold: The line of the rulers/kings of Jeroboam.
Dark Gold: The line of the kings of Syria.
Blue: The line of possible alter egos of the kings of Syria.
Light Green: The line of the native kings of Egypt.
Dark Green: The line of possible alter egos of Judaite/Egyptian kings.

While this set up helps explain some relationships, it causes also a puzzle of its onw, mainly that of Nadab reigning more than one year. See the text on that.

[07] The name of the mother of Thutmose III is given as Iset on the basis of a granite statue with gilded decoration. For the image see Ancient Egypt, Feb/Mar 2005, p. 21.
[010] The tomb painting of a barge of Amenhotep III carrying deities can be seen in the colorfully illustrated article by Heather Lee McCarthy, Place of the Beautiful Ones in Odyssey, Mar 2005, p. 14-25. the article also shows the beautifully painted tomb of Nefertari. Of the gold of Amenhotep III some of it may have come from the Jerusalem golden temple treasures.
[020] Evidence for a vizier of Amenhotep III named `Aperia', probably a Semitic name derived from `Aper-El', and his wife `Taweret' and son `Huy', was found. [O'Connor and Cline, `Amenhotep III - Perspectives on His Reign', Ann Arbor, 1998, p.120, 202.]
[030] Please note that Omri, son of Hezion/Hadyan (1.Kings 15:18), was also known as Tab-rimmon in the Bible (1.Kings 15:18, notice all the letters in the name are in revers, `rimmon' omri). He is the father of both the two brothers, Benhadad and Ahab, probably by different wives (1.Kings 20:32-34). Benhadad is the father of Jezebel/Nefertiti.
